Diversity in terms of culture and lifestyle

Roger and Christine Day of Brook Creative Therapy have considerable experience of working with diversity of culture.

Roger spent three years involved in charitable activities in the Indian subcontinent. Together they have recently lived and worked for several years in Romania, where they have pioneered adapting Western individualistic therapeutic approaches to the Eastern (primarily) collectivistic culture.

From their extensive experience they offer therapy, training and supervision that recognises and understands difference in terms of:

Culture

Language

Religious adherence

Age

Gender

Level of disability

Socio-economic group

Sexual preference

Brook Creative Therapy's policies on Equal Opportunities and Child Protection cover this in greater detail. Its policy on Health & Safety ensures maximum protection for clients, supervisees and trainees. Roger and Christine Day recognise that they are white, heterosexual and committed Christians. They believe, however, that far from hindering them this enhances their appreciation of those with different perspectives.
